Create and Schedule Emails to a Contact List

1. Sending a simple marketing or mass email

To send a simple marketing or mass email, navigate to Marketing → Emails and click Create Campaign. From here, you can build and send a one-time email to your selected contact list.

2. Create a blank plain text email

When creating your campaign, select Blank to start with a plain text email. This keeps the message simple and personal, which is ideal for first-touch outreach.

Select the format you want to use for your email:

  • Design Editor: A visual, drag-and-drop editor for building styled emails with images, buttons, and layouts.
  • Code Editor: An HTML editor for advanced customization and full control over the email design.
  • Plain Text Editor: A simple, text-only format that feels personal and works well for first-touch and relationship-based emails.

9. Additional Settings:

  • Track clicks

Records which links are clicked, how often they’re clicked, and which contacts clicked them. Useful for understanding engagement, but not required for simple informational emails.

  • UTM Tracking

Automatically adds UTM parameters to links so traffic from this email can be tracked in tools like Google Analytics. This is typically used for marketing campaigns, not routine client communications.

  • Add tags

Applies tags to contacts based on how they interact with the email. This is helpful for automation and segmentation, such as tagging contacts who click a specific link for a campaign, not routine communications.

  • Resend email to unopened

Allows you to resend the email to contacts who did not open it the first time. This can improve visibility for marketing emails, but is usually unnecessary for client updates or announcements.
